I had a very nice day to get back in the water after a week traveling. Avila was overcast with more July No Sky but it was calm and warm with an air temperature of 61°. The water was flat, clean, glassy and 59°. The surf was 2 to 3 foot. I was tight from too much driving so I just did an easy couple of laps and let the kinks work out.
I saw Duke before we got in, he was doing his usual 1000 yd. sprint swim and then 30 miles on the bike so we did not swim together. I spoke with Tom near the last buoy on the east side and then we continued our swims.
