Saturday morning I was in the water just after 7. Conditions were much like they had been all week; clear skies with a light offshore breeze, an air temperature of 42°, the water temperature was 13°C/55.4°F and a bit colder along the buoy line.
I swam out to the end of the pier and then looped to each of the swim buoys on the east side.
Tom and Sue were going to swim south from the Cayucos Pier to Whale Rock, about 1.5 miles.
I'll swim at 11 tomorrow.
