We swam over to and swung around the reef buoy and came back along the buoys to our starting point. The chop was well up now and I thought this leg was the roughest of the conditions today. The chop was head high plus and there was an occasional swell that would roll me around.

Jim and I swam at 7 this morning. The air temperature was 53° and there was a light breeze that would just put a ripple on the water and then drop away. The water was nice and clean and the swimming was great.
Jim swam until he was cold enough to get out and I did two triangles.
I'll be back Saturday morning at 7 and Sunday at 11 for some swimming in the sun.
Paula Dooley is on her way to Lake Tahoe for the Trans Tahoe Relay. I do not know who else is on her team. I hope that they have good conditions and a great time.

Tom's Sunday Swim Report
A 6' white shark was Spotted Sunday near the Hartford pier by a fisherman. Beautiful swimming this morning. My toes tell me about 57. At 11 the lifeguard told us that the shark was near the shore of the dog beach Interesting the guard I spoke had a different story. Gotta be the same one like you said. Agreed, time for it to move along.
From Tom with my edits.

If Finally Feels Like Summer -
At 7 AM Avila was 54° with low clouds or high fog, depending on when and where you looked.Jim and I swam down the east buoy line and over to the end of the Cal Poly Pier. Jim went directly in to the base of the Avila Pier while I went down along CPP to the second crossbars and over to the buoy line.
