We had a beautiful day for a swim. At 7 Avila was 59°, sunny (!), with no wind, small surf, a slight swell and clean but cold water. Yep, for the the second time this spring, after briefly reaching the mid - upper 50's, the water temperature has slid back to 52.5°. The swimming gods are really messing with us this year.
Paula Dooley joined Tom Israel and I this morning. We decided to swing over to the end of the Cal Poly Pier and swim in to he third crossbars. Tom and Paula planned on going in go in from there for about 3000M and I would double back on our route for closer to 4000M.
I'll be out of town so my next swim will be on Thursday, the 13th.
Up on Front Street Mr. Keep the Shinny Side Up was waiting to say hi.
Duke is looking good but won't be back in the water for a while yet.
