Tom Lorish and the King Tide -
The king tide is here! Blue skies with scattered clouds and a strong cool offshore breeze. It was 54° at Avila when I arrived at 905 AM. The swell was kicking up and the king tide had the water running all the way up to the stairs on the east side and under the yacht club on the west. The water was 48° and it was a wild swim. When I got out there was 3 surfers ripping it up on the waves. After I dried off I got some pictures.
Tom - Thanks for the great photos of Avila with ridable surf. It is a rare sight.
