I had nice swimming conditions today. Like yesterday morning, at 10:30 Avila had heavy overcast with the wind picking up, promising a hole in the clouds later. It was 65°, the water was up to 58° - 59° and most of my route had red-brown water. I spoke to Tom before I got in. He had been over to the Poly Pier and found the water to be colder and cleaner than when I swam.  

With the wind building I liked the idea of doing the P Pier loop counter clockwise so I'd be pushing into the chop going out along the pier but have the chop behind me from the end of the pier to the reef buoy.

I hadn't expected the warmer conditions and was overdressed but that was fine verses showing up on 9/12 with my spring suit and doing my swim in 53° water. 

I'm back to my regular schedule, T, Th and Sat at 7 and Sun at 11.
