Tom and Jimi's Birthday Swim -
Gorgeous day, warm(er) water, and an excellent swim around the rock for my birthday! It was 57° air temperature when I arrived at Avila this morning at 9 AM. There was a slight offshore breeze hollowing out the 2 foot waves and dimpling the water. Neptune was smiling on my birthday and gave me a nice gift of a 2° increase from the 48 degrees it has been for the past couple weeks. The water clarity was excellent as was my birthday swim around the rock. And if you're so inclined, I encourage you to play Little Wing and or Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix in honor of his and I sharing a birthday!
