Swimming this evening were Maria and Niel. Avila Beach was sunny with a light wind from the east. The water temperature was 61 degrees F / 16.6 degrees C. We swam a triangle counterclockwise. Maria decided to ditch her neoprene and enjoy the real ocean swimming experience. The spike in our route off of the end of the pier is a hiccup from Garmin.
Maria at our starting point.
Approaching the mouth of the creek.
Out at the end of the pier we were exposed to the glassy rollers that the
wind was pushing from the east.
Coming back to our starting point.
With the water temperature back up Wednesday evenings are a very pleasant time to swim.
