Avila Beach was looking good this morning. The air temperature was 40°, the water was 53° and pretty flat with almost no surf and no sign of the wind coming up. The life guards were starting their training, the guard towers are back in their summer locations and we should see the No Boats Zone buoys back in the water soon.
Jodi suggested that we swim around Avila Rock. I liked the idea and Tiki had never been out there so this would be an adventure swim.

There was a lot of kelp near the rock with more than a dozen otters showing
off how easy it is to swim like an otter.

The rock is the dark blob directly behind us that looks like part of the cliffs.
Jodi and I will be back to swim at 11 tomorrow.
