Niel and Jim's Thursday Morning Swim -

Jim and Niel waided in a bit after 7. The sky was clear and it was brightening in the east. It would be bright and sumnny in 20 minutes. The air temperature was 48°, my thermometor would claim that the  water was 57°- 58°, the same as Tuesday, and just like Tuesday Jim and I thought the water felt like 55°.  Tom Lorish's toes agree with Jim and I.
I need to get better aclimated or the coming low 50's will feel like the upper 40's.
The surf was 2 foot with an occasional 3 footer. There was no wind.
We agreed to swim from each buoy out to and back from the end of the Avila Pier starting at buoy #4. There was a small swell.  Leaving the #2 buoy Garmin threw in a dogleg over to the pier for me.

Jim and Niel at the end of the Avila Pier.

I'll swim Saturday at 7:15 and Sunday at 11.

I'm curious what the Saturday group will think about the water temperature.
