We got to enjoy a nice sunrise in Avila Beach this morning.
This is getting to be a broken record. (Hey, does that metaphor still work in a digital age?) Conditions were clear and cloudless with an offshore breeze. The air temperature was 46 and the water was down a bit to 50 degrees. The water swam noticeably colder than yesterday and the wind made it lumpy and pushy. The largest waves were 4+ foot but were well spaced out. Duke and I swam down the beach, to the end of the Avila Pier, then over to the Cal Poly Pier, from the third to the second crossbars and back to our start.
Duke and Niel at the third crossbars on the CP Pier.
I'm planning on swimming at 8 on Tuesday and at 9 on Thursday.
