Saturday, September 28th, 2024

I was all by myself this morning.  Tom was busy, Matt is harvesting grapes, Paula was ill and Jodi was having this piece of glass removed from her foot.
I arrived at about 7. There were heavy low clouds but no surface fog. No bait fish or birds. The swell was up a bit to 3 foot. The water was 58°, medium red brown and there was a lot of random bits of kelp.

Being by myself I planned a route that was a bit different, probably longer than usual and could be easily shortened if I found myself liking the idea. I just kept going to the next point, completed the planned route and had a nice swim.

The end of the Poly Pier with no pelicans.

Looking the other way to the Avila Pier and the white splash on
the point that I'd aim for to wind up at the reef buoy.

I'll swim tomorrow at 11 and hope for some sun!
